Who Should Attend

New business analysts will learn a standardized and systematic approach to business analysis. Senior analysts and those who have learnt ‘on-the-job’ will be able to formalize and refresh their skills. Systems analysts and developers will learn tools and techniques for effectively communicating with business users. Management and business users will learn how business analysis can reduce risk and improve the financial performance and quality of projects.

Objectives

In this introductory course, participants will explore the role and responsibilities of the business analyst (BA). They will learn techniques for ensuring project success every step of the way-from identifying and analyzing potential projects from a functional as well as financial performance point of view, to making sure that the final product meets all of the requirements identified. Through hands on exercises, participants will learn to define the scope of work and master requirements gathering techniques that will work for a variety of projects. Participants will consider the unique needs of customers, stakeholders, and the solution team as they work toward building, documenting, communicating, and managing requirements.
