Meeting Rules From Industry Giants

Meetings are held in a company or an organization for people to come together to discuss various related issues and make certain important decisions. Many times meetings are not organized properly, resulting in chaos and ending without any productive results. This leads to loss of valuable time of the people attending the meeting. Sometimes only a few people talk and discuss in a meeting, while the rest who are passive listeners find the whole activity boring. To prevent such situations from arising, it is important that meetings are properly facilitated and have a few ground rules.

If you’ve never used ground rules before, you may be wondering how they work. Here are some of the ground rules that many of the large industry companies use and why they use them. Perhaps they will be useful for your team meetings. Whether your team is in crisis or not, they will serve as a set of expectations that will keep your meetings productive and participative.

Learning Project Management in English Nov 7th 2012

Globalinx delivered a special new seminar titled「Business Analysis – An Introduction」at the Hibiya Public Library on Nov 7th.
The instructor was Mark Beresford, PMP (Project Management Professional), CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional).
The participants learned how using Business Analysis methods before starting any project can contribute to project success, customer satisfaction, and also reduce costs and increase benefits. At the moment there is a perception that Business Analysis is only for IT projects, but it can add value to any kind of project.
According to the definition: “Business Analysis is the discipline of identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems.” This, more general definition, allows us to use BA methods in any situation where a customer has a need and the vendor is some kind of solution provider. Especially where the solution has to fit to the unique needs of the customer very closely.
